LetBite is an AI-powered YouTube Recipe Ingestor. We transcribe, catalog, and translate YouTube recipe videos into professional culinary pages automatically. Our service uses artificial intelligence to extract ingredients, instructions, and metadata from cooking content so you can save, organize, and share recipes.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. By using LetBite, you agree to the practices described herein.

2. What Data We Collect

We process data that is necessary to provide the LetBite service you signed up for — including creating your account, importing recipes, processing payments via Stripe, and delivering core features. Without this data, we cannot fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

We may process your data when we have a genuine, lawful business reason to do so — such as improving our AI models, preventing fraud, securing our infrastructure, and analyzing aggregate usage patterns. We always balance our interests against your privacy rights and never override your fundamental freedoms.

Legal Obligation

We may process data when required by law — for example, retaining financial records for tax compliance or responding to valid legal process from law enforcement authorities.

LetBite does not sell your personal data. We share data with the following third-party service providers solely to operate and improve our platform:

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

LetBite operates globally. Your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own — in particular, the United States — where our key service providers are located:

Firebase / Google Cloud — servers located in the United States and other regions.

Stripe — payment processing infrastructure primarily in the United States.

Google Gemini API— AI processing performed on Google's US-based infrastructure.

OpenRouter — AI model routing through US-based services.

Where required by law, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, adherence to frameworks such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and conducting Transfer Impact Assessments where applicable.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
