For the Filling

Ingredients

Directions

    In a food processor, chop the cabbage, carrot, onion, green onion, garlic, and ginger until finely minced.

    In a bowl, mix the minced vegetables with the pork, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside the filling and part of the sauce for finishing.

For the Dough

Ingredients

  • a gostoCornstarch

  • a gostoWarm water

Directions

    In a bowl, sift the wheat flour and cornstarch.

    Add the salt and warm water, mixing well until a smooth and homogeneous dough forms.

    Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.

    On a surface floured with cornstarch, roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Cut it into strips and then into small squares. Shape each square into a round disc.

Cooking and Finishing

Directions

    In a large frying pan, add a little oil and heat over medium heat. Place portions of the filling (shaped with a tablespoon) into the pan.

    Cover the filling with the prepared dough discs, forming the gyozas. Let the base of the dough brown for a few minutes.

    Add a little water to the pan and cover immediately. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the dough is cooked and the water has evaporated.

    Remove the lid, add the reserved sauce (oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil) over the gyozas, and finish with chopped green onion. Serve immediately.
